Don't you love those sites that you can just sit and browse through the pages for hours? Well this is the site I go to. I find myself mesmerised by the amazing prints featured on Society6, not noticing the time ticking by around me. It's a good website to go to for inspiration, a wicked laptop background or just to look at the pretty illustrations and prints. 

If you fall in love with one they aren't too pricey at all, as they roughly range from $15-$40. The awesome part is you don't only have to order it in just a paper print, you can get it on an iPhone case, laptop skin, hoodie and many other cool options.

Above are just a few of my favourites at the moment, but I seem to find more and more each time i take a look. When I found all these prints I didn't plan on blogging about them, so excuse the lack of reference. But if you head on down to Society6 you will find all these pretty ones there!

Sweet Tooth: Rainbow Cupcakes

 

The weather today was so gloomy and wet, so i figured the best thing to brighten my day was to make some delicious cupcakes! This was my first attempt at the rainbow effect and I was quite please with the result. As you can see when you cut inside each cupcake has a crazy cool colour pattern on the inside. 

 I grabbed this recipe from All Recipes and it was super easy to make. I just used a simple buttercream frosting to top it off!

Funky Chairs

I have been wanting a quirky chair for my bedroom for a while now. I am constantly scouting around my local op shops, and am yet to find the perfect one. Above are my dream chairs (crazily out of my budget). 

I'm hoping to find a style of chair I like, and recover it myself in the style of 2. & 6.

First Official Second Year Window Display!

This was a very exciting moment for me. We had to create a display for an event, and our group (myself and two others Bridgid & Kaitlyn) decided on The Finders Keepers Market (I know a bit of a theme happening on my blog today). The bump in correlated really well with the actual market which was this weekend, so that worked out really well to promote it. We were extremely happy with the result and have received amazing feedback! All of the tedious plating of wool, knitting, cutting, painting and hanging paid off! 

It's currently on display in the lobby of RMIT building 94, just around the corner. Our days left in it are numbered so check it out while you can!

The Finders Keepers Market

Today I had the pleasure of attending The Finders Keepers Market. I was blown away by the amount of creativity and talent shown. There were so many things I wanted to buy, however I had to limit myself as usual. It was a great day to be out and about in Melbourne today because the weather was beautiful. I had a lovely time out with friends, sitting in the neighbouring park area when we had a much needed food break.

Internet Drought

The horror of having no internet for a week.

It was a lot more difficult than i imagined. And of course this had to occur smack bang in the middle of my holidays. But it gave me a lovely excuse to ignore my immense pile of homework, so i welcomed it.
But it revealed how much i rely on the internet for little things. Of course i was able to do a lot on my phone, but i missed sitting in bed and reading through all of my favourite blogs. It wasn't the same looking on the tiny little screen that is my iPhone.
And watching TV shows! I am the eager beaver that follows shows from the U.S weekly, and I'll admit not being able to watch the New Girl episode the day it came out was unbearable.

But i feel i may have used my holidays a little more wisely. So thank you Telstra for being so incredibly late with my modem. But i am oh so glad to have it back!
